Explore the wonders of the Amazon with a tour of this intriguing jungle city.
Description
Please note: you will need to have a valid passport, and you will need to stamp in and out of immigration.
Travel through Lethem into Brazil and down the 100km-long BR401 highway for 2 hours to Boa Vista, Brazil. Boa Vista is the capital city of the state of Roraima which borders Guyana.
Then travel by bus for 12 hours through the Amazonas rainforest to Manaus in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. There you will spend two nights in the famed, luxurious Taj Mahal Hotel as you explore the wonders of this beautiful city.
Go for a ride up the river by boat to the meeting of the waters – where the Black River and the Amazon River run side by side but do not mix. Have lunch on the restaurant which floats on the Amazon river, swim with the pink dolphins, feed the piranhas, and visit a remote indigenous tribe in the Amazon Jungles.
After that, come back to your hotel and refresh yourself in preparation for the Manaus city tour where will visit the famous Ponto Negra Beach as well as several historic sites of the city.
After this well-rounded Manaus tour, come back to Boa Vista where you take a brief tour of the city and visit the beautiful waterpark in the evening. The next morning, have breakfast and prepare to board your ride back to Lethem where you stamp out of Brazil and back into Guyana with lots of photos, memories and beautiful stories to tell.
Important: Pickup for this tour is from Lethem, Region 9. You will be responsible for reaching Lethem on your own. The tour package does not cater for transportation to Lethem or accommodation in Lethem.
